Local business woman, Nicole Lander of Laser Tag in a Box has been nominated for the 2018 AusMumpreneur Awards

Nicole founded her company with a few thousand dollars and an idea: to take a video game and experience it LIVE. Nicole manufactures electronic toys so players can participate in live action games.  She also rents the equipment for children’s birthdays and vacation care (summer camp) activities nationwide.
"We have taken laser tag to a new level to create an immersive and thrilling experience. It is like being a hero in a Hollywood film and the gamers get to call the shots," said Nicole Lander.
AusMumpreneru AwardsThe AusMumpreneur Awards presented by The AusMumpreneur Network celebrate and recognize Aussie Mums in business. The AusMumpreneur Awards acknowledge women who are achieving outstanding success in areas such as business excellence, product development, customer service and digital innovation. The awards are designed to recognize the growing number of women who successfully balance motherhood and business in a way that suits their life and family.
There are many benefits to balancing business and motherhood as Nicole explains, “My family is important to me. Running my own business has meant I have been able to choose the hours I work and balance the time I spend with my husband and kids.”
It can be challenging to be a successful business woman whilst raising a family and Nicole gives this advice for others thinking about starting their own enterprise. ”Success in business is a marathon not a sprint. Working hard with stamina is easier when you are doing something you believe in. Pace yourself. It might take you 10 years to be an overnight success. Loving what you do and being committed to work hard makes the journey more satisfying.”
