Vidiians vs Voyager vs the Borg
TIME: 10 minutes
BACKGROUND - VIDDIIANS
Planet: name unspecified. A space-faring
Delta Quadrant species known as educators, explorers, and above all
artists - until the phage hit them two millennia ago. Thousands die each
day, and organ harvesting is the only way to survive; corpses are
preferred, but in an emergency they may be taken from a living body. As a
consequence, their medical technology is much higher advanced than the
United Federation of Planets norm, including immunogenicity. They are not
familiar with holographic imaging, and their power systems may use a
dilithium matrix.
Vidiians are scavengers of the delta
quadrant. Their species have fought for years against the
"Phage," a gruesome disease that destroys their genetic codes
and cellular structure. Unable to defeat the Phage, they have learned to
survive by scavenging organs from healthier species to replace their own
diseased tissues.
BACKGROUND - THE BORG
Origin: Delta Quadrant. A
cybernetic life-form thousands of years old which is part organic, part
artificial life. They have advanced well beyond Federation science. The
Borg have a singular goal, namely the consumption of technology, rather
than wealth or political expansion as most species seek. Among
the many advantages their collective consciousness affords them, the Borg
hive-mind allows for instantaneous adaptations to shield and phaser
frequency modulations in combat; they are also able to regenerate and
repair their massive cube ship with the power of their collective thoughts
alone. The hive-mind drones do not register as individual life-signs when
scanned, only as a mass reading and then at a bare minimum. Their Queen is
the most dangerous Borg known.
BACKGROUND - VOYAGER
An Intrepid-class vessel capable of holding
200 crew members, the U.S.S. Voyager NCC-74656 is one of the
fastest and most powerful starships in Starfleet. On stardate 48307.5, Voyager
was pulled over 70,000 light-years from the Badlands area near Deep Space
Nine by an extragalactic alien dubbed "Caretaker."
Voyager
is currently en route from the Delta Quadrant to Federation space; at
maximum speed, however, the journey may take up to 70 years. Voyager's
folding wing-and-nacelle warp drive system allows the starship to exceed
the warp 5 "speed limit" without polluting the space continuum. Voyager
can reach a speed of warp 9.975, but only for short periods.
Its EPS system and back-up have been
totally modified to employ Enaran power-conservation technology; power
relays on some decks now employ Borg technology. It carried 152 people as
of SD 48975.1; Chakotay doesn't believe it can be operated with less than
100.
VIDIIANS VS VOYAGER VS
THE BORG
The Game: The
Borg and the Vidiians have breached the hull on Deck 15 in the USS
Voyager. The Star Fleet crew retreat to the Jeffries tubes to re-group and
ensure that Voyager is not taken over. HINT: The Humans should familiarise
themselves with the maze config.
Objective:
Survival of the Fittest, Destroy the other Teams
Special Rules:
-
When Borg Queen dies, all the Borgs die
- All Borgs can be reset an unlimited
number of times as long as their Queen is alive. They cannot reset themselves
they must be reset by the the referee
located
next
to
the
Queen.
- If a Vidiian kills a Human, the human must
stand still and hand the Vidiian their helmet (if the Vidiian gets
within arms length). No contact, no ripping off the other's helmet and
no dodging this. If the human is dead then they MUST give the Vidiian
the hat. The Vidiian can then return to the armory with the captured hat
for a
reset.
- Humans: if you are killed by a Vidiian you
immediately take your hat off and place it on the floor next to you.
The Vidiian Team
The 8 characters in the Vidiian team:
- 1 x Vidiian Leader carries the Predator
+ Mask, 5 hit points
- 6 x Vidiians carry long range rifles (aka
the steyrs/starlyte-pros) +
Mask, 5 hit points
- 1 x Vidiian carries Sniper Rifle +
Mask, 5 hit points
- Vidiians must take the Human's helmet
back to the armoury to get their resets.
- Vidiians start in the back corner.
- For every organ harvested by the
Vidiians (as represented by them returning a Human's helmet/hat to the
armoury) they get a bonus 50 points. No points for killing Borg as
they are cybernetic their organic material is of little value to the
Vidiians. Just don't let them kill you!
The Borg Team
The 8 Characters in the Borg team:
- 1 x Queen, short-range pistol, 20 hit points
(cannot be reset, Smart Sensor)
- 7 x Borg Drones, 5 hit points, Up gunned
Starlyte pistols.
- Queen wears giggle smart sensor cap.
- Borg drones can have unlimited re-sets
while the Queen is alive, however, they must return to the Queen and
have the referee who is standing next to the Queen re-set them.
- Borgs start in the opposite corner to the
Vidiians.
- If all the Voyager team is assimilated (ie
tagged out) then the Borg gets 100 points. If all the Vidiians are
assimilated (ie tagged out) then the Borg get another 100 points.
However they loose 150 points if the Borg Queen dies.
The Voyager Team
The 8 Characters in the Voyager
team:
- 1 x Captain, Short Range Pistol, 12 hit
points, grey smart sensor
- 2 x Star Fleet Commanders, Short Range
Pistol, 10 hit points, grey smart sensor
- 3 x Star Fleet Ensigns, SMGs, 5 hit
points, star helmets
- 2 x Star Fleet Ensigns, Moritas
(Mini-guns), star helmets
- Voyager crew start in the Jeffries
tubes.
- For every Ensign that survives win 20
points, Commander/s win 40 points, and if the Captain survives get 80
points.
