Bubblegum Crisis: Tokyo 2040

BACKGROUND
The year is 2040, and the megacity of Tokyo is ablaze.  The robots known as boomers, which are used to serve humans in the most menial, hazardous tasks, are revolting.  Until now, these “Rogue” boomers have always appeared one at a time, mutating in form, usually causing massive damage. This continues until they are brought down, either occasionally by the official anti-rogue boomer taskforce called the AD Police, or more usually by the vigilante group referred to as the Knight Sabers.  A fact which makes the AD Police very uncomfortable.  Now however, a large group of boomers have gone rogue simultaneously.  Both the AD Police and the Knight Sabers have arrived on the scene to deal with the problem.

The AD Police are armed only with standard firearms, with heavy backup provided by troopers wearing heavily armored, moderately well armed, but slow, combat power-armors referred to as “K-Suits”.  They rely on overwhelming weight of numbers to bring the boomers down.  The Knight Sabers, on the other hand, rely on revolutionary new power-armor called “Hardsuits”.  They have 10 times the firepower of a K-Suit, and are far more maneuverable, and almost as well armored.  Working as a team, with their support team, they have proven time and time again a formidable adversary, both to the boomers, and the AD Police, who would love to see them eliminated, once and for all…
