NamRecon: Rescue the Aviator

Captain's Briefing:

A Naval aviator has ejected from his stricken aircraft.   The aviator has a radio but is injured, he cn only move if provided first aid.   The aviator has not been able to provide exact coordinates of his position but has indicated he is near some buildings and there are VC trackers looking for him.   Intelligence suggest the town of Go Doi is the location.

The squad is led by an NPC called 2nd Lt. George Fresno he has proven to be quite arrogant and desires it appears to become a hero at any cost.

Method of Insertion: Two Slicks will insert you near  Go Doi, players choose exact LZ as long as its on a open field

Fire Support Availability: No Artillery Support,   A single run of a Gun Ship is available with 10 minutes notice and can be called in by the RTO only.

Enemy Movement Information: VC activity is known to be heavy.  There is also the possibility of NVA in the area.

Terrain: Urban

Special Rules: Any armed natives should be considered hostile, however the town is not generally considered a VC stronghold.

Method of Extraction:  Return to the LZ on foot, the two slicks will be standing by for evacuation

Equipment assigned maximum of 1 weapon.

  • 1 x PRC-25 Radio

  • 1 x 60mm M19 Mortar, must carry one metal box.

Replacements:  3 Soldiers are available at the LZ

LZ: typically an open area such as a playing field.
