New Battlefields

The exciting news is that New Hampshire and Wisconsin battlefields are due to launch this season. Check out NH's "The Strategy Zone" web site, and WI's "Lazer Ops" web site. Also launching soon is Emu Gully's new BOAT WARS. Located near Ashford in NSW, Emu Gully's new adventure park will feature Boat Wars. BattlefieldSports.com has provided Emu Gully with the components so the crew can make their own Gatling guns mounted on boats. Each boat will have a driver and a gunner with the sensor mounted on the boat.

Corporate Fun
Laser Skirmish is popular with corporate groups for team development and fun. Some high profile groups over the last couple of weeks include Bank-West (Thunderbird Park), Brisbane City Council, see right, (Whites Hill College) and the Kawasaki national conference at the Ridges Resort, Yeppoon. The flexibility possible with Laser Skirmish was very important to these groups.

Tournament Results
The last tournament played by the lasertag regulars was at Whites Hill College and was played completely in darkness. The mission details are at http://www.lasertag.com.au/scenarios.htm

Round 1:
Nod (short for the Brotherhood of Nod) played the Aliens, GIR the L337 terrorists and QES the SCIO. The Aliens immediately assault the L337's and wiped them out in under 1 minute. The Aliens then secured the bomb site. The SCIO made two attempts to overwhelm the Aliens but were driven back. Result the nuke went off. Score 300 for Nod, 50 for QES (because the terrorists were dead) and 0 for GIR

Round 2
Saw GIR as the Aliens, QES the L337 and NOD the SCIO. This time the aliens did not attack the L337 but instead searched for and found the bomb and attempted to secure it. The SCIO assaulted the Alien position and did get to the bomb. Unfortunately they could not find a way to diffuse it and they took a lot of damage from the radiation emitted by the bomb itself. No team managed to achieve its objective, except the Aliens primary one of seeing the bomb explode. Result 200 points for GIR, 0 for Nod and 0 for QES.

Round 3
GIR were the SCIO, NOD the L337 and QES the Aliens. This time the SCIO secured the bomb site but could not find a way to diffuse the bomb and took ghastly damage in the process (the starbase on fireback is deadly). The Aliens rushed the SCIO position and quickly eliminated them.
Result QES-200, NOD-0, GIR -0

Nod Clan, considering their tactics.

Winners
The winners overall were NOD with 300 followed by QES on 250 and GIR on 200.
