Our first ever urban tournament is fast approaching. A maximum of 4 teams of up to 9 players per team will be accepted.  If your clan is ready for tournament action, then email me with your booking ASAP peter@lasertag.com.au and following that with your clan registration fee of $180.

I highly recommend studying the mission in advance, it can be found at www.lasertag.com.au/bombdisposal.htm I also recommend reading and practicing the principles discussed in the recent Lock and Load editions http://www.lasertag.com.au/0203lockandload.pdf

The venue is Whites Hill College, Camp Hill, Brisbane.

As always, forward this message to a friend you think would benefit from playing extreme lasertag!

See you on the battlefield,
Peter Lander

New Battlefield

Last Saturday (April 6),  outdoor lasertag kicked off  with 11 brand new Spitfires. Plans are being made to add another 10 spitfires soon to cope with demand.   The person in charge in Canberra is Emma Darby and she can be contacted at escape@adventureconsultants.com.au or on 0419 267 792. Check out www.lasertag.com.au/canberra

Outdoor Lasertag returns to the Far North
Cairns is re-launching in the first week of May 2002 with 15 guns, followed by another 15 by the end of June.  This will include Spitfires, Pulse Rifles and new improved Morita.   Andrew@lasertag.com.au is the running the show.    Some really hard core clans are forming in Cairns and are ready to take on anyone.  Watch out for inter-city tournaments later this year.

Brisbane Urban - Every Saturday
Brisbane urban battles and Live Action Role-playing at Whites Hill College rocks!   We are running a 2 hour late afternoon session, followed by the challenging 2 hour night session.    Recent missions include Alien Versus Predator Versus Human and the Vietnam Era Search and Destroy mission modified slightly for urban http://www.lasertag.com.au/searchdestroy.htm
Session times etc can be found at http://www.lasertag.com.au/brisbane/

Gold Coast Bush - Every Sunday
For those like me who love hiding in trees and behind rocks etc,  then every Sunday morning we are out at Thunderbird Park for an open session.  This is only a 2 hour session starting at 11.00am and finishing at 1.00pm.   We are also having quite a few private groups at Thunderbird park because of the excellent corporate facilities, see  www.cedarcreeklodges.com.au for more details.

Get Challenged
Live Action Role-play using lasertag equipment has proven to be the most challenging form of lasertag because it creates the most realistic and difficult tactical situations.  Over the last few weeks we have run a series of Vietnam LARP's that have seen the players deal with sneaky and not so sneaky assassination attempts, Aviator rescue which including 2 VC ambushes,  a very hot LZ where they came under immediate heavy fire and the rescue of a lost general.   The game rules include specialist skills such as medic, point, heavy weapons and radio telephone operator, see www.lasertag.com.au/namrecon   This Saturday night, plans are afoot for a sci-fi genre LARP based on the popular RPG - Paranoia, watch out for commie mutant traitors!!!
