BACKGROUND -
STARSHIP TROOPERS Service
guarantees citizenship in the Federation. The citizen accepts
personal responsibility for the safety of the body politic,
defending it with his or her life if necessary. The civilian does
not. You have enlisted as a
member of the Mobile Infantry. Sky Marshal Dienes has ordered the invasion of Klendathu consisted of multiple core Divisions,
numbering in the hundreds of thousands of mobile infantry.
The total capacity
for one Division is 10,800 Troopers.
One Division = 6 Regiments
One Regiment = 36 Platoons
1 Platoon = 50 Troopers
Tactics, the art or craft of employing
military forces in battle, is a vital element for the Mobile
Infantry of Starship Troopers. Tactics define specific deployments
of armed forces units within the constraints and limitations
established by strategic and operational considerations.
BACKGROUND
- THE BUGS
The bugs as they are commonly
known, as part of a hive civilisation called Arachnids.

withstand temperatures above 500 degrees Celsius. Low intelligence,
excellent follow-through. Seldom found alone. Weapons:

foot-pounds/kg. Ground Speed: Cross country - 64 km/hr. Acceleration
(0-50 kms) 7.2 seconds.

is known about this creature or even whether it actually exists. If
it does it may be very large, (two or more metric tons) and female
(she lays the eggs for the colony and may serve as the Queen of the
colony). Believed to be capable of reason. May have intuitive and
psycho-kinetic powers. Weapons: Possible piercing claw or palp.

| THE
GAME |
Your regiment of Troopers has been
deployed on the hostile planet Klendathu, a bug planet. Unfortunately
12 of you have been separated from your Company and are
currently awaiting evac from Fleet. Radar has picked up a large
group of bugs are converging on your position. Your mission is to
hold your position in your makeshift dug-out until fleet arrive.
Objective:
Hold the dug-out, survive.
The Roughnecks
The 12 Characters in the
Roughnecks team:
- 1 x Staff Sergeant,
Sniper Rifle, unlimited hit points, a la no sensor
- 3 x Corporals, Moritas, unlimited hit
points, a la no sensor
- 8 x Privates, SMGs, unlimited hit
points, a la no sensor
If the Staff Sergeant dies, then one
of the Corporals will take up the role of Sergeant. Likewise if a
Corporal dies then one of the Privates will automatically be
promoted. To "die" all that is needed is that one of the
bugs taps **lightly** the soldier anywhere on the body or gun.
The
Bugs
Let's just say there are a
lot of bugs. 36 or more would be appropriate. Bugs are not
allocated guns. Rather they have sensors. 2 hit points each. They
just need to over-run the dug-out and touch a Roughneck and that
Roughneck is cactus. No "rough-housing" allowed, a light
touch is all that is required.
The rampaging horde of Bugs have
unlimited replacements while the Brain Bug is alive. But the bugs
need to go back to where the Brain bug is located to get
replaced.
